Quad Cab has smaller rear doors than Crew Cab. Within the same newer-generation Ram 1500 application, Quad Cab and Crew Cab use the same mounting brackets in the current People Auto Parts assortment, but the bars differ by cab size and are not interchangeable. Ram 1500 Classic and newer-generation applications are also not interchangeable.

Are the mounting brackets labeled by side or position?
No. People Auto Parts Ram 1500 brackets are not labeled by side or position. Lay out all brackets and match their shape and configuration to the kit-specific instructions before installation. Driver-side and passenger-side brackets are not interchangeable, and some kits can use identical brackets in certain positions.
Should I fully tighten each bracket as I install it?
No. Leave the bolts loose until every bracket and both bars are positioned and aligned. Tighten the hardware only after the full assembly lines up correctly.
Can installing the bars on the wrong sides make the kit appear not to fit?
